Sixty individuals will be granted Canadian citizenship during this event.<\/p>\n<p>Across Canada, a total of 1,950 individuals will be welcomed as citizens in 46 unique ceremonies on this national holiday.<\/p>\n<h2>Highlights of the Vancouver Ceremony<\/h2>\n<p>The Vancouver event is set for 2:30 p.m., preceding the Whitecaps&#8217; match against the Colorado Rapids. This will be Judge Hart&#8217;s inaugural ceremony as a newly appointed citizenship judge, with highlights shared during the game.<\/p>\n<h3>About Judge Carol-Ann Hart<\/h3>\n<p>Judge Hart, an adept barrister and solicitor, has extensive experience as an arbitrator, mediator, and investigator. She holds degrees from Universit\u00e9 Laval and McGill University and is a chartered arbitrator. Her past role involved adjudicating Indian residential school claims.<\/p>\n<p>In her new role, Judge Hart will make decisions on citizenship applications and preside over ceremonies, also promoting Canadian citizenship and civic values throughout British Columbia. Citizenship judges are appointed through a transparent, merit-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canada.ca\/en\/privy-council\/topics\/appointments\/governor-council.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">selection process<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Voices from the Ceremony<\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI am deeply honored to serve as a Citizenship Judge.
