New Citizenship Judge Rania Sfeir will officiate her first ceremony at Centre de la nature in Laval, Quebec, welcoming 25 new citizens. Meanwhile, Judge Marie Sen\u00e9cal-Tremblay will lead a ceremony at Mount Royal Town Hall for 40 new Canadians.<\/p>\n<p>Across the nation, 46 unique ceremonies will embrace 1,950 new citizens, marking Canada Day as a significant occasion for these individuals. Judge Sfeir, with over 20 years in communications and journalism, joins the ranks with her expertise. Judge Sen\u00e9cal-Tremblay, a seasoned judge, returns to this role, bringing her vast experience in federal and administrative law.<\/p>\n<h2>Roles and Impact of Citizenship Judges<\/h2>\n<p>Citizenship judges play crucial roles in decision-making on citizenship applications, leading ceremonies, and administering the citizenship oath. They also promote Canadian values and citizenship within communities.
