These services equip newcomers, including refugees, with crucial information and support to help them make informed decisions about their new life in Canada. To enhance these services, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will be providing $18.4 million in funding to Colleges and Institutes of Canada (CICan).<\/p>\n<h3>Newcomer Services Before Arrival<\/h3>\n<p><strong>January 22, 2019\u2014Ottawa, ON\u2014<\/strong>CICan is among four service providers tasked with offering national-level information and orientation to pre-arrival clients in economic and family classes. CICan plans to deliver both online and in-person services in India and the Philippines. These services include specialized support tailored to specific immigration categories and client groups like youth and LGBTQ2S+.<\/p>\n<p>This funding is part of IRCC\u2019s revamped pre-arrival services program.
