This event welcomed 20 families from diverse countries to the Canadian community, just before the Senators squared off against the Calgary Flames.<\/p>\n<h3>Welcoming New Canadians<\/h3>\n<p>On January 18, 2020, in Ottawa, 20 families from different nations took their oath of citizenship. The new citizens also joined in singing the national anthem with the National Arts Centre Orchestra to kick off the hockey game.<\/p>\n<p>Ismail Ayyoub, a past participant in a similar ceremony, attended as a special guest.
