Recognizing the travel challenges some may face, Canada urges its citizens and businesses to extend a hand, continuing its legacy of aiding those in dire need.<\/p>\n April 20, 2022\u2014Halifax\u2014<\/strong> The Honourable Sean Fraser introduced the Ukraine2Canada Travel Fund, a new initiative in collaboration with Miles4Migrants, The Shapiro Foundation, and Air Canada. This fund aims to assist Ukrainians wishing to relocate to Canada.<\/p>\n Canadians and businesses can now contribute Aeroplan points to the Ukraine2Canada Travel Fund via Air Canada or Miles4Migrants. Cash donations are also welcomed, with the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto managing these for the fund. The target is to help at least 10,000 Ukrainians and their families reach Canada.<\/p>\n Air Canada has generously offered 100 million Aeroplan points, and The Shapiro Foundation will match Canadian donations up to 50 million points. Canadians can donate their Aeroplan points through the Air Canada<\/a> and Miles4Migrants<\/a> platforms. Cash donations can be made to the Jewish Foundation of Greater Toronto<\/a>.<\/p>\n The program is available to Ukrainian nationals and their family members possessing valid Canadian travel documents and approved travel plans to Canada. Further information on accessing the program will be shared soon.<\/p>\n This initiative complements recent measures announced by Canada’s Prime Minister, which include charter flights, temporary financial support, and short-term accommodation for Ukrainian nationals.<\/p>\n \u201cThe incredible support from Canadians for Ukrainians fleeing the conflict is inspiring.
