The Canadian government also invites global youth to discover the rich diversity of Canada through work and travel.<\/p>\n March 1, 2024<\/strong>\u2014Ottawa, Ontario<\/strong>\u2014The Honorable Marc Miller, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, declared the commencement of the Canada\u2013Finland Youth Mobility Agreement, initially signed on May 19, 2023. This initiative enables Canadians and Finns aged 18 to 35 to work and travel in each other’s countries under the International Experience Canada (IEC) Program<\/a> or its Finnish counterpart.<\/p>\n Marking 77 years of diplomatic ties, this agreement enhances the bond between Canada and Finland. Participants in the IEC program can immerse themselves in new cultures, acquire essential skills, and improve their career prospects, fostering deeper social connections. Indigenous youth in Canada have a unique chance to connect with the S\u00e1mi people’s heritage and traditional knowledge.<\/p>\n Both nations are investing in their youth’s potential, promoting a globally interconnected community.
